TThe Mid-State software program is a computer simula¬tion model designed to enhance classroom learning. The simulation model considers raw material selection and purchasing, scheduling, maintenance, testing and inspection, personnel administration, etc. The model is somewhere between "real world" and typical computer simulations, hence the name "mid-state."
The Mid-State program is designed for a team approach. Learning that takes place during the team exercises is the most important part of the simulation. The simulation has a very fast learning curve for operation (typically < 60 minutes). The simulation teaches Quality Improvement, SPC, Experimental Design and Analysis, and Evaluation of Measurement Systems. Mid-State Brick Factory includes processes to saw, mill, and grind the product. Options include sampling and measurement strategies, measurement checks, suppliers, and machine maintenance and repair.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - Program can be run on a PC with Windows operating system.
The price is $695 for a single license or $2800 for a site license.
